Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026 · Effective: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how cubepaint ("the Game", "we", "us") handles information when you install and play our Android puzzle game, or visit this website. We keep this short and specific: we are a small game, we collect as little as possible, and we do not sell your data.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Support messages. If you email us at sally_r@126.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use it only to answer you.
1.2 Information collected automatically during gameplay
When you use the Game, some technical information is generated and may be collected by us or by the third-party services listed in section 3:
- Device and app information: device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, system language, screen size, app version, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
- Gameplay information: levels started and completed, session length, and in-game progress and settings, so that your progress is stored and we can fix broken levels.
- Diagnostic information: crash reports, error logs, and performance data (for example where the Game crashed or ran slowly).
- Approximate location: your country or region, derived from your IP address. We do not collect GPS or precise location.
- Advertising identifier: if you see ads, the resettable advertising ID of your device (see section 4).
We do not ask for, and do not want, your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. The Game does not require an account.
1.3 Purchases
If the Game offers an optional in-app purchase, the transaction — including payment — is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your card number or full payment details. We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was completed, so the item can be unlocked.
2. How we use information
- To run the Game and save your progress;
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve levels and difficulty;
- To understand, in aggregate, how many people play and which features are used (for example, which level is the hardest) — this is always statistical, never "who you are";
- To show advertising that keeps the Game free (see section 4), if ads are enabled;
- To answer your support requests.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has a legal effect on you, and we do not build marketing profiles about you.
3. Third-party services
The Game and this website rely on the following services, which act as independent data controllers or processors under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services — required for the Game to run and update. policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) — serves the ads shown in the Game, if ads are enabled. policies.google.com/technologies/ads
These providers may collect data such as your advertising ID and device information, and may combine it with data they already hold. We do not control that processing; please review their policies. We only share information with them to the extent needed to deliver the features above.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
4. Advertising and your choices
If the Game shows ads, they are delivered by Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised based on your advertising ID and approximate region. You are in control:
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices: Google → Ads) → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation. You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland: on first launch we show a consent prompt, and you may change your choice at any time from the Game's settings.
5. How long we keep information
- Support emails: kept while your request is open and for up to 24 months afterwards.
- Crash and diagnostic data: up to 12 months.
- Aggregated gameplay statistics: kept indefinitely in aggregate form, as they no longer identify you.
- Game progress stored on your device: kept until you delete the Game or clear its data.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for this website and for data sent by the Game. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by law.
7. International transfers
Our service providers (in particular Google) may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Children's privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at sally_r@126.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including personalised advertising;
- request a portable copy of your data;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email sally_r@126.com. We will respond within 30 days. Because the Game does not require an account, we may need to ask for information that helps us identify the relevant data — and in many cases we simply hold no data that identifies you.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You may still contact us to exercise your access and deletion rights.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example if we add a feature that changes what is collected. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will also announce them in the Game or on this website. Continuing to use the Game after an update means you accept the revised policy.
